About Us

The Curtis Coleman Institute for Constitutional Policy ("The Institute") is fighting for the restoration of the Constitutional principles that made the United States of America the most exceptional nation in history.

Our Constitution is under unprecedented attack from powerful forces, including an Administration that believes it is archaic to a Judiciary that believes it must be reinterpreted to be relevant. (The federal government’s treatment of the Arizona immigration law is a distressing example.)

The Institute is responding to these attacks on our fundamental freedoms and liberties by fighting for the restoration of our government to the prescription of the Constitution.

The Institute is pressing this agenda on three fronts:

1.    Education. We lost the battle for the last generation in the classroom – and that’s where we must win the hearts and minds of our children now. The Institute is working to place Constitutional study materials in schools. We’re working on study guides and curricula for both students and adults – studies and materials that will help today’s and tomorrow’s Americans rediscover the extraordinary history that has made the United States of America so exceptional.

2.    Advocacy. The Institute is at work aggressively advocating Constitutionally-sound government policy and legislation. Our New South Conservative e-newsletter is attracting a following from coast to coast.  And we will be pressing for simple yet profound legislative policies such as a requirement for an "enabling clause" in which the Constitutional basis for any proposed new law must first be clearly established.

3.    A Generation of New Leaders. The changes that must be made and the lost ground that must be recovered will likely not be fully accomplished in our lifetimes.  Therefore, one of The Institute’s primary missions is to raise up a generation of young new leaders who will have the same vision, passion, and commitment.

The Institute is a non-partisan non-profit corporation based in Arkansas.  Contributions to The Institute are tax-deductible.

Our Constitution has an articulate advocate and forceful friend

in The Institute’s Chairman, Curtis Coleman. A former candidate for U.S. Senate and small businessman, Co-Founder and former President/CEO of Arkansas-based Safe Foods Corporation, Curtis has experienced the crippling effects of the unconstitutional regulatory and entitlement environment now existing in the United States.
